A wedding ceremony is to be staged as a memorial to the engaged couple killed in Sunday's car crash in Tuen Mun, family members said yesterday.
Chan Shuk-yee, 24, and her finance, Tang Ping-yiu, 30, who were killed when a truck lost control and toppled on to their car, had planned to get married next year.
Relatives who identified the bodies yesterday said they would consider holding an "afterlife" wedding ceremony for them. Tang's sister said: "We want to fulfil their wishes."
Fung shui consultant Au, Chung-tak said such weddings had to be conducted , within 49 days of the deaths by a Buddhist or Taoist master using a paper bride and groom.
The families plan to bury their ashes together. |
